“Recipes for Successful Conservation Projects Series”  features the following sessions:  Applicable attendees will need to call to register and can attend in person or online.

 

“Agricultural Land Preservation Program”

Tuesday, June 3, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Learn the process for preserving a farm in Crawford County and dive into the priority ranking criteria.  This session is limited to farm land owners and municipal officials.

 

“Dirt, Gravel, Low Volume Road Program”

Tuesday, June 10, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Find out what makes a project rank high and other things to look for when deciding on a road to apply for. We will take a look at past projects and talk about why they were funded and how they meet the overall goals of the DGLVR program: reducing pollution to streams & improving our rural roads. This program is reserved for municipal officials.

 

“Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program”

Tuesday, June 17, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Discover the steps you will need to take to apply to the Agricultural Conservation Program and determine realistic planning goals, installation of practices, and engineering timelines before you apply.  This program is reserved for agricultural producers.

 

“Agricultural Planning”

Tuesday, June 24, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

This program will help ag producers understand what planning should be implemented on their farms. While having applicable plans in place will aid farmers who are interested in submitting successful ACAP applications, the importance of effective management relating to manure management & cropland planning should be understood by all members of our agricultural communities.
