The Woodcock Creek Nature Center has added a new Nature Play Area for the public to enjoy.  A “kick off” program was held Wednesday, May 18, and there will be several more programs in May/June that utilize the new outdoor classroom feature.  Monday, May 23 at 4:30 p.m. we will look for birds, Thursday, June 2, at 4:30 p.m. we will use our cameras and phones to take part in a “Nature Spy” program and Thursday, June 16 at 4:30 p.m. we will collect small items to make nature collages.  The Nature Play Area was made possible by a DEP Environmental Education grant, a Crawford Heritage Community Foundation grant, and support from Troop 244 Eagle Scout Ethan Keyes and the Meadville Kiwanis.  Outdoor classroom log seats were donated by Pat Maloney of Firth Maple Products.
