Pollution Control Project Funded in Crawford County

The Crawford County Conservation District received $2000.00 to conduct a Canadohta Lake Best Management Practices Initiative. “This grant allows our Conservation District to address local pollution issues. CASH Envirothon Team represented Crawford County very well at States

The “Conservation Confederation” Envirothon team from CASH (Conneaut Area Senior High) won First Place for Crawford County at the Crawford/Mercer County Joint Envirothon on May 4, and moved on to represent Crawford County at the 33rd Pennsylvania Envirothon state competition that was held at Susquehanna University and Camp Mount Luther on Tuesday and Wednesday, May.. read more →

Fisherman And Boaters Asked To Be Aware Of New Threat

The Crawford County Conservation District (CCCD) is asking anglers and boaters to be aware of a new threat to our area waterways.  A highly invasive plant called Hydrilla has been found in Pymatuning Lake and is spreading within the reservoir.  Hydrilla resembles other water plants commonly referred to as “seaweed” already found in area waterways. .. read more →
